Description
For a thrilling ride on Heavenly Mountain in Lake Tahoe, check out the Heavenly Flyer zip line adventure. To get to the zip line, you will take the Tamarack Express from the top of the Gondola, putting you at an elevation of approximately 9,500 feet. The zip line takes you back to the Gondola, which is a 525 feet drop. The zip line is one of the longest in the U.S. with a length of 3,100 feet. Heavenly Flyer is open year round, providing opportunities to see both snow-covered mountains and lush greenery, depending on the time of year when you zip.

I was excited to ride the Flyer. That is, until I got all the way up there and waited in the hot sun for over an hour only to have them shut it down. Heavenly was reluctant to refund the money for my gondola ride(you have to ride it to get to the flyer)until I threatened to report them to my credit card company. The lift operator at the base of the Flyer ride was so stoned, he could barely speak. This is a complete waste of time and money. Other patrons who were turned away told us that this was the third time they had paid and gone up and not been able to ride the flyer. Heavenly is a joke.
