Because zip line and canopy tours take place in nature, they provide the perfect opportunity to learn more about the ecosystems of the area and the environment. Several eco tours are available throughout North America.
Off the coast of California is Catalina Zipline Eco Tour, located on Catalina Island. This tour features a five-line zip line course and different eco stations located throughout the tour. The eco-stations provide information on different animals and plant life found on the island. Topographical elements of the tour include Descanso Canyon, Hog’s Back Gate, and Descanso Beach.
Located on the East Coast, Florida Eco Safari offers the Zip Line Safari Tour. The zip line tour takes place in a Pine forest and wetlands. During the tour, visitors will be able to experience and explore the unique ecological elements of this tour. In addition, at the end of the tour riders can interact with native wildlife at the wildlife center on site. The zip line tour features seven zip lines and two sky bridges.
Also located in Florida is the Zipline and Glide Eco Adventure near Orlando, Florida. This zip line tour features five hours of fun in the Orlando outdoors. The tour includes a seven-line zip line course as well as a sightseeing swamp buggy tour. The buggy tour includes a look at a Florida ranch and wildlife conservation system. During this tour, visitors can see native Florida wildlife and plants.
Alaska Zipline Adventures is an eco-certified zip line tour in the Tongass National Forest, which is a rainforest. The zip line tour may be combined with a variety of tour options, including a Jeep tour and a glacier tour. Alaska Zipline Adventures features sustainable practices and uses hydro-electric power in the summer.
